The Total Redesigned of 2023 Nissan Frontier Truck

Many have said that Frontier has outdated look and appearance, but it may change with the upcoming model of 2023 Nissan Frontier. Yes, it isn’t exactly the modern and stylish mid-size pickup that seems fit in this era, but you have to admit that the truck has promising future. It has good combo of technology adoption, futuristic face, and bold bodywork that can actually work well when thought of carefully.

Expected Updates

The last update took place in 2005, and it’s a good thing that Nissan has decided to make a change for the upcoming model. Expect extra feature and more stylish design for the interior. Engine will also get some changes, especially with the V6 engine churning out 310 hp of power for better control when paired up with rear wheel (or four wheel) driving system and auto 9-speed transmission.

If you are into offroad performance and quality, there is Pro-4X trim coming with electronic locking rear differential, beefier and sturdier suspension, and other promising add-ons. Smoother control and ride should also be expected.

Pros and Cons

Just like everything in this world, there are some good and bad things to consider about this truck. On the positive notes, the availability of Pro-4X is definitely something that you can appreciate from Nissan. Another thing to like is the good performance and quality of the standard features. The offered options are many – and all of them are attractive. And towing capacity is also great.

However, nothing can be 100% perfect. In terms of efficiency, is the new ride able to deliver good efficiency? The auto emergency braking is definitely not a standard. And there is no information about the total cost either.

It means that Frontier fans can expect sporty overhauled exterior, new suspension components, new (and improved) powertrain, and also new interior. The basic foundation remains the same with steel high-strength ladder frame to create solid outcome.

Engine and Performance

The upcoming model will still be coming with the same construction and design. The wheelbase is 126 inch with 5 foot bed (for crew cab) and 6 foot bed (for the extended cab). However, the upcoming 2023 Nissan Frontier has longer front side (4.5 inches) because of the new (and more pronounced) bumper and grille. For the new model, different models of SV, S, Pro-X, and Pro-4X would be offered.

As it was mentioned before, the engine would be V6 with 3.8 liter capacity, delivering 310 hp of power and 281 Nm of torque. With auto 9-speed transmission and rear wheel driving system, the truck is pretty nice and smooth for good ride. The outcome may not be wow, but it’s quite good. With 18 mpg for the city, 24 mpg for the highway, and 20 mpg combined, the truck is good enough – although not marvelous.
